TOUCHDOWN IN NEW ORLEANS!

POPPY TOOKER - NEW ORLEANS' MODERN DAY ASNWER TO JUILIA CHILD...WITH A BIG DOSE OF BIG EASY STYLE!It's Superbowl Sunday, and all eyes are on New Orleans as the Baltimore Ravens take on the San Francisco 49ers!!  One New Orleanian scored big time this morning hours before the game started!   When Wynton Marsalis of CBS Sunday Morning planned to showcase the fine cooking of New Orleans, his home town, he knew there was only one person who was the expert on Louisiana cuisine - Ms. Poppy Tooker.   Tooker is a local legend, and her NPR radio show - Louisiana Eats is a big hit with fans all over the country that appreciate that Southern spin on savory, delicious food.   Beyonce might be wowing the crowd  with her moves and vocals during the halftime show, but Poppy Tooker's Gumbo will but a bounce in your step!  I'm proud to call Poppy a friend, and so proud of her CBS debut - Bravo POPPY!!! If you haven't been to New Orleans recently - you must get there asap!  The perfect weekend destination for catching up with friends, sightseeing, and just enjoying all things NOLA style!

See more about a recent trip I took to New Orleans - click - NOOK to read on.
