Not to mention -WORLD CUP FEVER has gotten American fans more excited than we normally see for Soccer or Futbol in the States! Channel some of that team spirit when you tackle the new Fall collection - ARRIVING DAILY!!
The Fall 2010 Ready-To-Wear previews in Beverly Hills and NYC were excellent! There were fireworks from customers who got their first glimpse at Massimiliano Giornetti's premiere runway collection for Ferragamo Donna!
To say that the Fall collection is being well received is an understatement! The rich textures and chic styling are sure to make some of these pieces collectible! What is more perfect than a classic wrap coat in double face wool to serve as a staple in your Fall / Winter wardrobe? Just like an Hermes Birkin bag- a Ferragamo wrap coat is forever.
LUREX GOWN FROM THE BACK!
At the NYC Flagship boutique on June 25 - our Ready-To-Wear (RTW) preview was illuminated by stunning model - Meghan Giffin. That girl is a knockout and looked like she walked right off the Ferragamo Runway! Meghan literally stopped traffic on 5th Avenue when she made her way across the boutique in this Lurex Gown! STUNNING! The dress is destined to be a red carpet choice for some Hollywood starlet. The deep rust / brown color is a big trend for fall. This piece is priced at $4,890.00, so obviously it was bought sparingly. If your boutique is not on order for it - keep this color story in mind when you are putting together ideas for your clients.
The biggest fashion editors in the world continue to celebrate the Ferragamo Fall 2010 Collection!
The July issue of ELLE features Rihanna on the cover of the annual music issue. Ferragamo is featured prominently in the cover story on Page 173. Binki Shapiro of L.A.'s "IT" band Little Joy wears the Camel wrap coat with brown leather triim (exit 12) and the Lurex sweater vest (exit 4). Our Uber cool suede shorts that were one of the strongest looks on the runway for Fall completes the look!
MEGHAN GIFFIN IN RUNWAY EXIT 12 - 455-551 - $3,500.00-
Camel not your customer's best color? How about style 444-567 from pre-fall? The charcoal grey cape with black leather trim and deep RED lining is such a sophisticated way to make a statement. The equestrian style is classic chic! Also a great look with one of our Red knits & Charcoal trousers. Build the sale by suggesting a jersey dress in sexy Red as a great option. With just 4 pieces, she has a whole new wardrobe.
Flipping ahead in the same July Elle issue to page 185 - the magazine celebrates the lacy, frilly side of being a girl. Ferragamo joins Fendi, Versace, & Dior in a summertime celebration of the female form. The white sheer dress is not produced for all boutiques - but a great opportunity to suggest any Spring dress still in the boutique, and now on sale! Also remember to suggest a necklace from the costume jewelry collection (CJ). This category is VERY important in the industry. (So important as a matter of fact, the house of Christian Dior has just hired a designer dedicated solely to CJ). KEEP IN MIND - all CHANEL pearls you have EVER seen are costume jewelry. When Coco was alive - Faux Pearls were known as "Paris Pearls".
As the Fall RTW collection arrives and the Fall magazine stories are being printed - the patchwork handbag story becomes more and more relevant!
FIAMMETTA PATCHWORK - $1,830.00If you haven't already fallen in love with this group - pick it up TODAY! Your best customers should all own one of these pieces. FIAMMETTA, SOFIA, & MARISA all make a strong showing in both the tonal metalic leather - or the contrasting Amber / Malt / Amaranto. The Artisan detail make this one of our most prestigious handbags! As is so often the case at Ferragamo - these "logo" free styles put us on a higher plane of sophistication than most bags in industry.
DIETRICH IN FERRAGAMOLEGACY OF LUXURY
I just re-watched the movie Stage Fright by Alfred Hitchcock. The movie is legendary as screen siren Marlene Dietrich stars as a femme fatale actress who tricks her young lover into murdering her husband! The film is classic Hitchcock and classic Dietrich! The film is also mouth watering for fashion fans. Marlene Dietrich's wardrobe is amazing.
The film was made in 1950 and scene after scene Dietrich is head to toe Christian Dior & Salvatore Ferragamo. Rent the movie to watch an important piece of Hollywood History and feel proud working for a prestigeous luxury house like Ferragamo!
FERRAGAMO TIME
FERRAGAMO KIMOIn 1951 Salvatore Ferragamo staged the first ever fashion show for shoes in Florence, Italy. The show made headlines around the world and debuted the KIMO style. The interchangable sock of the KIMO made it the most versatile shoe the world of designer shoes had ever seen! What style do you think is the most versatile shoe in the collection today? Do your best customers all have a pair?
